Culworth & Yorke shepherd huts can be designed and delivered in a fully-fitted format, or "naked inside" as a starting point for you to create your own, perfect space.

The Wyatt

The Wyatt shepherd’s hut gives you a completely open-plan space, and is a perfect starting point to make your own. Customise the colour and fixtures, then optionally add a few bells and whistles such as underfloor heating or a wood-burning stove.

The Studio

The Studio is an open plan space which makes an ideal home office, yoga space or painters den.

This shepherd hut is a foot wider than The Wyatt and comes fitted out with a loo, wash basin and a countertop wash basin – ideal for coffee making – and there's even space for a small under-counter fridge. It's the perfect, self-contained hideaway.

The Hideaway

The Hideaway is a truly self-contained hut.

Perfect as a spare room for friends, family or even paying guests. The layout creates a defined double bedroom area with concealed storage and wall-mounted reading lights (who doesn't enjoy a spot of bedtime reading). There's also a lounge/dining space, plus a bathroom with 7Kw electric shower, loo and wash basin.

The Retreat

All the mod-cons for a cosy weekend (or longer), hence we've called this one The Retreat.

The sleeping area welcomes you with a spacious king size bed, concealed storage and wall-mounted reading lights (evening mug of cocoa, anyone?). Off of the lounge/dining space is a bathroom with 7Kw electric shower, loo and wash basin. We're sure you'll make good use of the kitchenette which has an energy efficient stove, sink and room for a small built-in fridge to boot.

  • Precision engineered steel frame with steerable turn-table front axle and drawbar
  • Traditional cast iron wheels
  • Solid tropical hardwood or oak steps
  • Thermally efficient sheep’s wool insulation (walls, ceiling and floor)
  • Locally sourced Douglas fir or oak feather edge cladding (painted or natural)
  • Polyester coated corrugated tin roof
  • Handmade double-glazed patio doors and windows
  • Interior finished in tongue and groove timber cladding
  • Engineered oak floorboards
  • 32 Amp ‘commando’ electric socket and consumer unit, four double power sockets, ceiling mounted LED downlights, wall mounted reading lights and industrial style exterior lights (all electrics are certified)

A few ideas to customise your hut

  • Heating - underfloor, cast iron electric radiator, or wood-burning stove
  • Kitchen - Featuring a sink, a double ceramic hob, cutlery drawer, and a small fridge
  • Solid oak fold-down dining table - a place to enjoy a nice cooked breakfast or cosy supper
  • Shower room - Having a spacious bathroom is a must for visiting guests. Equipped with loo, shower, wash basin and heated towel rail
  • Under bed storage - create a space for clothes or stashing blankets
  • Shelving - because you can never have enough storage
  • Paints - add a splash of colour, or stay traditional; customise the interior and exterior cladding to make your hut truly bespoke
  • Ironmongery and lighting – go modern or stay classic? We can customise your hut beyond our standard specification to create a contemporary edge

  • Virtual or in-person site survey – this can determine if you require any landscaping or groundworks (our experienced team can also undertake to ensure your site is shipshape and ready for delivery)
